We went to visit Papa EK (my Dad) at his fire station for Father's Day. Or as they as in Hawaii - Fada's Day. Lila and Chloe had a blast playing in the fire truck and ambulance. Thanks for letting us share the day with you Dad!

1 year ago: I was being a busy mom to 2 kids and working part time from home as the assistant to the Director of Sales at Henry Schein.
Yesterday: I was at my Mom’s house waiting for her new carpet to be installed. (With my 3 kids!) It was a surprise for her while she was away on vacation in Florida. It was a LONG day, but it was worth it to see her reaction.

MY HUSBAND....
What is his name? Marc James Blaser
How long have you been together? Married for 3 years on April 8th, 2008
How long did you date? We dated for 2 years before we got married
How old is he? Marc turns the big 3-0 this year!!
Who eats more? Marc. Especially now that I am on a diet…
Who said I love you first? Marc! But I felt it first! :)
Who is taller? Marc wins again
Who can sing better? Depends....Marc sings much better in front of people. I sing like a rock star in the shower
Who is smarter? I'm the gangsta with the street smarts. Marc is the college graduate computer whiz. So our kids will make good grades without getting beat up in school!
Who does the laundry? Me. I’m really, really great at washing/drying the laundry. Not so hot at the actual folding and putting away…
Who pays the bills? It's a team effort. We had our own bills when we got married and never really changed the way we do things...
Who sleeps in the right side? Marc sleeps on the right looking at the bed
Who mows the lawn? Marc. He's quite the home owner!
Who cooks dinner? I do, most of the time. Sometimes I'm just too lazy. Marc is great at steaks and burgers though.

Who is more stubborn? We are both equally stubborn but also equally giving. We are a good team.
Who kissed who first? Marc kissed me first….although I coerced him into it.
Who asked who out first? I asked out Marc! That was a first for me - I NEVER asked out guys. However, Marc didn't realize that's what I was doing because I had him bring some friends and he asked out the waitress while we were at dinner. We must really have been meant to be!
Who proposed? Marc did at Temple Square on December 1st, 2004. He was so nervous that his voice was shaking! It was adorable.
Who has more friends? Marc has more friends that are close by.
Who is more sensitive? Definitely me. I can cry on demand and I do 10-15 times a day.
Who has more siblings? Marc - family of 6 kids, I have 2 brothers.
Who wears the pants? We both enjoy a nice pair of slacks. (A quote from Anchorman for those of you who think I've lost my mind)

Kangaroo Zoo - It's Really A Zoo....
On Friday I met some girlfriends at Kangaroo Zoo to let our kids have some fun. It was a little crazy!! Chloe kept running away and it is hard to keep track of her while taking care of Max. I totally took advantage of being able to play without a care while I was a kid!!
Thanks Kristi - I stole this picture from your blog!! Most of our kids are still playing on the toys. And yes, Max is hiding under my blanket! :)

Surprise!

Today we went to a surprise birthday party Jay Larsen. Boy was it a surprise - his birthday isn't until September!! But Shyla wanted to throw a party for him while his brother Pete is here on leave from Iraq. It was so fun! We surprised Jay at Ruby Tuesday's in Park City for lunch and then went up to the Olympic Park. Ryan, Marc and Lila rode the Alpine Slide together and Lila had a blast! She loved going fast. While they were riding, Mom, Joe, Helen, Chloe, Warrik, Violet and I played on the playground equipment next to the ski lift. It was also fun to watch the skiers who were practicing on the jumps.
It was fun to see Pete. He's been gone for a while. On the way up to Park City, we had a patriotic moment when "God Bless the USA" came on the radio. It got me thinking about all the sacrifices our soldiers are making for us. I wanted to tell Pete thank you for all he is doing, but I was afraid I might get emotional, so I didn't say anything. :( I'll have to write him a letter...
Thanks to Shyla for planning a fun day!Posted by Cammi at 9:00 PM 2 comments

Seven Peaks - Day 1

I got season passes for us this year so I could get the kids out of the house a couple of times a week. And let me tell you, it's hard work!!! 3 kids under 5 at Seven Peaks is not relaxing. Hopefully Chloe will calm down and not try to run away every chance she gets once we've been there a few times. Lila had a great time though. She is my little fish. Max, as usual, was an angel. He loved being out in the sunshine. Amy got a season pass too, so at least we will be able to hang out together.

Flashback Friday
I've been working on scanning all of my old pictures, so I thought it would be fun to start doing Flashback Friday (like a few other blogs I've seen) and sharing some of my old memories.

The Audacity
I'm not usually one to talk politics, but after seeing this video I felt it was important to post it for everyone to see. Do we really want a president who refuses to put his hand over his heart during the national anthem or wear an American flag pin? A man who is willing to lift the ban on meeting with terrorist leaders and wants to sit down with them to talk face to face? I don't..... The list goes on and on. The video is 10 minutes long, but take the time to watch the entire thing. It's eye opening.

And The Cat Came Back...
There is a strange cat that keeps scratching on Max's window and I'm not sure what to do about it... I think it is a stray, but I'm not sure. I had this great idea to run up the stairs and try to catch it when I heard it scratching today, but then I thought "What would I do with it?" I'm deathly allergic to cats and I hate them anyway. But I don't want it scratching on the window anymore!! Any ideas from all you resourceful people out there??

Max's Blessing Day
Max had a great blessing day. Marc did a really good job with the blessing. We were lucky to be able to share the day with Max's Great Grandma Bonney who was in town from Florida. He looked so cute in a blessing outfit made by Lynne. Thank you to everyone who helped share our special day!

Lila's Preschool Graduation
I can't believe what a big deal they make out of everything these days.... I don't remember doing anything like this when I left preschool! They sang songs about all of the things they learned - days of the week, months of the year, the planets, "Leo the Lion", the "splish-splash" dance and lots more! They also received a certificate and a trophy because they also did gymnastics. Lila was cute and I'm proud of her for the work she did in class. She's going to be my overachiever! Lila made some good friends during the year. She will miss seeing them. The little boy in the last picture is Tiago. I think he is Lila's first "crush", but she won't admit to it! :)
